Beyonce Shuts Down Women Against Feminism With A Single Snap

“Women Against Feminism” has become a thing and we can pretty much hear the hoofbeats of the Four Horsemen, signaling End Times.

Lucky for us, Beyoncé has stepped in to save the day with a single photo — as she’s been known to do.

Tuesday (July 22), Bey posted a photo to Instagram in which she’s all kitted out like Rosie The Riveter, flexing under the words “We Can Do It.” She didn’t provide any context for the snap, but we’re pretty much assuming that she posted it to basically save the world from itself. Also because she looks damn good in loose denim.

Queen Bey isn’t new to feminism — she’s basically been dubbed an honorary Riot Grrrl by Bikini Kill’s Kathleen Hanna and she contributed an essay to Maria Shriver’s “The Shriver Report: A Woman’s Nation Pushes Back from the Brink.” Oh, and she’s been repping the “f” word on tour with Jay Z, too, incorporating the term into her stage show in massive black and white letters.

Now tell us again why you don’t need feminism, ladies. The Beygency is listening…

Well shit - Beyonce got her photo taken?

Great rebuttal Beyonce!

There go all my well thought through reasons for being anti-feminist.

Dang.

I love how this article just seems to assume that because Beyonce did something all the anti-feminist women and girls in the world who have dedicated time and energy to researching and understanding feminism and formulating their own ideas as to why they are against it are just going to crumble into tears at the sight of Beyonce posing as an overused war propaganda poster model and come running back into the arms of Mother Feminism and Godmother Bey.

The thing I take from this massively obnoxious article is that the author assumes that women are basically: 1) a hive mind who all apparently love the same (overrated) American pop singer and 2) weak-minded beings who will crumble into submission and conformity at even the slightest suggestion of disapproval from an authority figure. Like, are feminist writers trying to sabotage themselves at this point?

YesAllWomen: What do you think about feminism?

Beyonce: I like it.

YesAllWomen: ERMAGERD!  SHE SURE PUT ALL THOSE WOMEN CRITICAL OF FEMINISM IN THEIR FUCKING PLACE!  FLAWLESS! I MAY HAVE TO GO MASTURBATE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  WOMEN CAN DO IT!  THEY CAN DO ANYTHING EXCEPT NOT BE FEMINISTS!!!!!!!!

"Beyonce Saves Feminism!!!"

If the best they’ve got is Beyonce dressed up as Rosie The Riveter (who actually never riveted a damn thing in her life), then I’d say feminism is just about on the ropes so far as actual arguments goes. Influence, however, is another thing entirely.

This is just awesome. Makes me hate Tumblr a little less.

sincerely, a person who has been on prozac for 9 years

this is in response to some shitty stuff i’ve seen on my dash recently. it’s super simplified, so if you’d like to know some more indepth stuff on how exactly it works, google it—OR BETTER YET actually talk to a mental health doctor psychiatrist person wow

Prozac has literally stopped me killing myself. I would be dead if it weren’t for antidepressants. If you spread misinformation I’ll come to your house and smack u into orbit.

I’ll join you and steamroll people

As someone who takes the highest dosage of zoloft (setraline) possible for my body in order to function as a “normal” human being, allow me to assure you that if I ever hear you talking shit about needing to take meds, I will pull your head out of your arse and smack it into the nearest wall.
